Chipboard Poem
This lovely child
Comes with an axe.
Back form the grave,
And on the attack.
Death Certificate
Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks.
And when she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one.
Fun Facts and Rumors
I'm sure we've all heard of Lizzie Borden. She's no stranger to the lore of horror and macabre. She is the first LDD based on a real person, and the first one to wear feminine boots.
Accessories
She has average peach skin, weird spiky eyebrows, red hair in a bun, crazy eyes (the whites are black, the irises are blue-white, and the pupils are black.) Her dress is long and black and formal, there's a red part on the front of it. She carries a long handled bloodied ax.
Cause of Death
Since I have no idea if Ed and Damien wanted her COD to be the same as the real Lizzie Borden, I can't exactly tell you for sure. But I can give you how the real person died: Pneumonia.
Ed Long and Damien Glonek started creating Living Dead Dolls in 1998, and signed to Mezco in 2000. Currently, there are over 100 dolls that they've created, each with a chipboard poem and death certificate all original to each doll. This is a blog for beginning collectors, or for people just interested in the dolls.
